Red Hot Cinnamon Apples is an easy dinner. Made with 6 to 8 jonathan apples (or any kind that hold their shape), 1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 6 to 8 drops oil of cinnamon or to taste and red food coloring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Peel, core and quarter apples.
Bring other ingredients to boil.
Add apples; cook gently until apples are tender.
Hot fruit cans very well.
Pack into hot jars and process in boiling water bath as you do applesauce, 15 to 20 minutes.
