Real Italian Lasagna
Real Italian Lasagna is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground beef, 2 or 3 onions, chopped, 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce and 1/4 tsp. sage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain.
Add the onions, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 30 minutes or longer, adding water gradually as needed. Layer the lasagna noodles, sauce, cottage cheese, Cheddar, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses 1/2 at a time in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes.
