Raisin Cookies
Raisin Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. raisins, 1 c. water, 4 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Bring raisins and water to a boil; cook 5 minutes (simmer). Set aside to cool.
Sift all dry ingredients together except sugar.
In a large bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar together; cream well.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Add dry ingredients, then add cooled raisin nut mixture.
Add chopped nuts.
Chill dough in refrigerator.
Drop by teaspoon on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 370Β° for approximately 10 minutes.
