Quick Cook Cornbread
Quick Cook Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. crisco or wesson oil, 2 eggs, beaten, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal and 1/2 c. self-rising flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Preheat oven to 450Β°.
Put Crisco or Wesson oil in iron skillet and heat in hot oven or use 13 x 9-inch aluminum pan.
Beat eggs in small bowl, adding sugar.
Put cornmeal, flour and buttermilk in mixing bowl.
Stir, mixing thoroughly.
Add hot oil and stir in well.
Add boiling water.
Mix well (batter will be thin).
