Quick Chocolate Frosting
Quick Chocolate Frosting is an easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. butter, 1/8 tsp. salt, 3 c. powdered sugar, sifted, 1/2 c. evaporated milk and 1 (16 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine butter, milk and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted.
Remove from heat.
Add chocolate morsels and beat until smooth.
Cool. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick enough to spread.
If necessary, add additional sugar to obtain spreading consistency. Yields enough for 1 (8-inch) 2-layer cake.
