Puppy Chow(For Chocolate Lovers, Not Puppies) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 c. chex cereal, 6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips, 1/2 c. peanut butter, 1/4 c. margarine or butter (do not use spread or tub products) and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Measure cereal into large bowl; set aside.
Microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and margarine in a 1 quart microwavable bowl on high 1 minute; stir.
Microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth.
Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated.
Pour into large plastic food storage bag. Add powdered sugar.
Seal bag; shake until well-coated. Spread on wax paper to cool.
Yield: 9 cups of snack.
