Bake cake in two round cake pans as per directions.
Cook pudding and cool completely.
Cool cake, then slice strawberries. Layer as follows in punch bowl
Cake, pudding, pineapple, a thin layer Cool Whip, then start again, cake, pudding, strawberries and Cool Whip.
Put in refrigerator overnight.
