Pumpkin-Nut Bread
Pumpkin-Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. packed brown sugar, 1/3 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 c. cooked or canned pumpkin and 1/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cream together brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in pumpkin and milk.
Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ginger and cloves together; stir into pumpkin mixture.
Beat 1 minute with electric beater.
Stir in nuts.
Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 55 to 60 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Makes 1 loaf.
