Pumpkin Bread

Mix sugar, pumpkin and oil, then beat well.
Add flour, salt, spices and vanilla.
Dissolve soda in 1/4 cup water.
Add to mixture and blend well.

Bake in loaf pans or juice cans to make round slices.
Fill cans only 1/2 full. Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 60 minutes or until done.
