Pumpkin Bread
Pumpkin Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 2 1/3 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 1 lb. can pumpkin and 2/3 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix shortening and sugar, add eggs and mix well.
Add pumpkin and then the flour a little at a time, alternating with the water a little at a time.
Add salt, soda, baking soda, baking powder and spices and mix well.

Bake 60 to 70 minutes in loaf pans until toothpick comes out clean.
