Pumpkin Bread
Pumpkin Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening (1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. crisco), 2 3/4 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream shortening; add sugar gradually.
Add eggs and mix well until blended.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, soda, salt, allspice and cinnamon.
Add to the creamed mixture. Add pumpkin and vanilla; mix until well blended.
Fold in nutmeats and pour into four greased loaf pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour at 350Β°.
