Pull Buns
Pull Buns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. sugar, 1 c. scalded milk, 1/3 cake yeast, 3 3/4 c. flour and 1/3 c. oleo, melted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Add sugar, oleo and salt to scalded milk.
When lukewarm, add the dissolved yeast, eggs and just enough flour to make a stiff batter.
Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
Let rise again.
Pull off ball size of walnut; dip in melted oleo.
Roll each ball in mixture of the last 3 ingredients.
Place these balls in ungreased angel food cake pan.
Let raise for 30 minutes.
Bake for 11 minutes at 400°, then reduce heat to 350° for 30 minutes.
Turn pan upside down immediately.
