Prune Cake
Prune Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. cloves and 1 tsp. allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Sift flour, measure and sift again with soda and spices. Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add chopped prunes and mix well. Add flour and milk alternately.
Beat until smooth after each addition.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch square pan and bake in 350Β° oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Test for doneness.
Do not overbake.
