Prize Cookies
Prize Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 eggs, 3 c. flour and 1 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a large bowl, combine shortening and sugar; beat until fluffy.
Add eggs.
Beat well.
Combine dry ingredients.
Gradually add to wet and mix well.
Crumble mincemeat into mixture and stir. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375Β°.
If desired, glaze with zigzags of powdered sugar icing.
