Beat egg whites and add 6 teaspoons of sugar and put in refrigerator.
Beat yellow of eggs, shortening, butter and sugar for 20 minutes, then add flour and milk alternately.
Fold in egg whites and put in a tube pan.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
