Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks margarine, 1/2 c. shortening, 3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. almond extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and almond extract and blend well.
Add eggs, one at a time, and continue beating after each addition.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add flour mixture and milk alternately to creamed mixture and beat well.
Pour into large greased and floured tube pan or two loaf pans.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.
