Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 3 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream butter and lemon peel.
Gradually add sugar, creaming all until light, about 6 minutes at medium speed on electric mixer. Add vanilla and then eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Sift together dry ingredients.
Stir in.
Grease bottom only of a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
Turn in batter.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 minutes or until done.
Cool in pan.
Sift confectioners sugar lightly on top.
