Potato Doughnuts
Potato Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast, 5 c. water, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. oil and 2 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast in water.
Add half of flour and rest of ingredients.
Beat until smooth.
Add rest of flour 1 cup at a time, until firm enough to handle.
Knead for 10 minutes.
Place in greased bowl.
Turn once.
Cover with damp cloth.
Let rise until double.
Divide dough.
Cut and place on floured surface. Let rise until double.
Fry in 365Β° oil top side down first.
Turn when medium brown.
Makes good cinnamon rolls, too.
