Portuguese Beans
Portuguese Beans is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 26 minutes. Made with pinto beans, large red onion, chopped, red bell pepper, chopped, to 15 large mushrooms, sliced and to 4 garlic cloves, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Slice and saute linguica; add sirloin.
Pour off fat.
Saute onion, mushrooms, bell pepper and garlic.
Add to meat and let simmer.
Salt and pepper to taste.
In a large slow cooker or stew pot, add all ingredients and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
Add 5 to 6 slices of bacon in the last hour.
