Salt and pepper pork chops and brown in a large skillet. Remove the chops and using the drippings make a thin gravy using flour and water.
Stir in applesauce.
Return chops to skillet. Scatter onion slices over and around chops.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until chops are tender.
Lightly season as desired. With mashed potatoes and a vegetable, this is a wonderful meal for a cold winter night.
