Pork Chop Stew
Pork Chop Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 6 pork chops, 1 tbsp. crisco, 1 c. tomato juice, 1 can sauce (add water to make 1 c.) and 2 to 4 medium potatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Brown pork chops (in Crisco) on both sides in skillet.
Peel and cut up potatoes.
Put around edges of skillet between and under pork chops.
Add celery, green pepper and onions.
Add oregano to tomato juice and pour over chops and potatoes.
(Try to cover potatoes with sauce.) Cover skillet and simmer on low 30 to 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
