Poor Boy Stroganoff
Poor Boy Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. hamburger, 5 c. tomato juice, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. vinegar and 1 pt. sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Saute onion in butter.
Add hamburger and lightly brown.
Mix in salt and pepper.
Place dry noodles on top of meat mixture. Cover with tomato juice, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, mixed together.
Cover and simmer until noodles are tender, about 40 minutes.
If more liquid is needed, add a bit more tomato juice. Stir in sour cream and heat through.
Serve immediately.
