Pinwheel Cookies
Pinwheel Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 1/2 c. sifted flour and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolk and beat again, then add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Add vanilla. Divide into 2 portions.
Leave one plain and add chocolate to the other.
Chill, then roll out both portions into very thin oblong sheets.
Lay the chocolate on top of the white.
Roll up like a jelly roll.
Chill again, then cut into thin slices and bake on greased cookie sheets in oven at 375° to 400°.
Bake about 10 minutes.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
