Pineapple Upside-Down Cake
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. butter, 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 8 to 10 slices pineapple, 8 to 10 maraschino cherries and 1 pkg. white cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 325Β°.
In a deep 9 x 13-inch oblong cake pan or two 9-inch round cake pans; melt butter.
Add brown sugar and stir over low heat, until dissolved.
Arrange pineapples and cherries into bottom of pans.
Prepare cake mix according to box directions.
Fill prepared pan 3/4 full and bake 30 to 40 minutes. Any remaining cake mix can be used for cup cakes.
When cake is done and still hot, run a knife around cake edge and invert on a serving plate.
