Made with 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, 1/2 lb. colby longhorn cheese, cut into small cubes, 1/4 c. salted peanuts, 1 to 2 tbsp. sugar and 1 heaping tbsp. cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Drain juice from pineapple and keep.
Combine in a bowl pineapple, cheese and peanuts.
Put pineapple juice in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup water; pour into boiling juice, stirring constantly.
Pour over pineapple mixture.
Chill and serve.
