Pineapple Cheese Pie
Pineapple Cheese Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple, not drained, 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Blend sugar and cornstarch together.
Add to undrained crushed pineapple.
Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and clear. Cool and set aside.
Blend cream cheese, sugar and salt.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Blend in milk and vanilla.
Spread cooled pineapple into unbaked pie shell.
Pour cream cheese mixture on top.
Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, then 325° for 50 minutes.
