Pineapple-Buttermilk Salad
Pineapple-Buttermilk Salad is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 (6 oz.) or 2 (3 oz.) pkg. orange-flavored gelatin (i use sugar-free jello), 1 (8 oz.) container cool whip and 1 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine pineapple and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring until dissolved.
Cool.
Add buttermilk and stir until combined.
Fold in whipped topping and pecans.
Spoon into a 12 x 8 x 2-inch Pyrex dish and chill until firm.
Cut salad into squares to serve.
Yields 12 servings.
