Pineapple Bran Bread
Pineapple Bran Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. pineapple syrup, 2/3 c. whole bran, 2 c. sifted enriched flour, 1/2 c. sugar and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Measure pineapple syrup and add water if necessary to make 2/3 cup.
Pour over bran and let stand 15 minutes.
Mix and sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add walnuts, crushed pineapple, egg and melted shortening to bran mixture and add to sifted dry ingredients.
Mix until just blended.
Turn into greased loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inch.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
