Pie Apple Sponge Cake
Pie Apple Sponge Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 c. oil and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a large mixer bowl, beat oil, molasses and egg together well.
Add yogurt and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add all at once to wet ingredients. Mix lightly; extra beating will toughen the cake.
Turn batter into a nonstick 9-inch square pan.
Bake 25 minutes or until center of cake springs back when touched lightly with fingertip. Cool briefly in pan on rack.
