Perfect Apple Pie
Perfect Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 double pie crust, 1 tsp. flour, 6 c. thinly sliced, peeled apples, 3/4 c. sugar and 2 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine apples, sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and lemon juice.
Toss lightly.
Roll pie crust and place in tin.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon flour in bottom of pan.
Spoon apple mixture into crust.
Slice butter and put it on top of apples. Top with second crust; flute edges and cut slits in top.
Bake at 425Β° for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and top is golden brown.
Cover the edge of crust with strips of foil for 15 to 20 minutes of baking time to prevent excessive browning. Serves 8.
