Pepperoni Rolls
Pepperoni Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. shortening and 1 pkg. yeast (small), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Bring milk to boil.
Add sugar and shortening.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add salt, egg and yeast.
Mix in 1 1/2 cups of flour and beat with spoon.
Add remaining flour.
Knead on floured board for 5 minutes.
Let rest 5 minutes.
Knead dough again for 3 minutes.
Use enough flour so dough does not stick to hands. While rising, cut medium size pepperoni stick into suitable size pieces.
Pour 1/2 can of tomato sauce and 2 tablespoons cooking oil over pepperoni.
Wrap each piece in dough.
Let rise in greased pan until doubled in size.
Bake at 450Β° for 20 minutes.
