Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. steak or deer, 4 large bell peppers, 2 large onions, 4 tbsp. shortening and dash of garlic powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut steak into strips; flour lightly.
Brown in shortening then simmer with lid on skillet until tender.
Add bell peppers that have been cut in strips; add onions that have been sliced. Cover and simmer until onions can be cut with a fork.
Mix soup with water; add to meat mixture.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice.
