Cream sugar and margarine. Add syrup and salt. Beat well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add pecans. Pour into shell. Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour.
Insert toothpick in the center of pie to check if it is done. If not, cook for 10 minutes longer.
