Preheat oven to 375Β°.

Cut pears into bite size pieces.

Mix pears with the sugar, raisins, nuts, cinnamon and lemon rind. Take one fillo sheet and spread out on a flat, floured surface. Brush with margarine and 1 tablespoon of bread crumbs.

Make a 2-inch surface of 1/2 the pear mixture, leaving a 1-inch border. Start from the end and begin to roll, ending with bottom seam. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Bake for 35 minutes or until golden.

Before serving, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
