π Recipe adapted from RecipeNLG-Full
Peel, core and wash pears.
Cut into quarters, weigh or measure fruit.
Use one container of sugar for every 3 containers of pears. Add about 1/4 cup of water to the sugar to get it melted and boiling.
Add pears to boiling mixture of sugar, cook slowly.
Cut lemon into very thin slices (1/2 lemon sliced is enough to flavor approximately 3 quarts of fruit) and continue cooking until pears are tender and the juice begins to thicken a little.
Seal in jars.
