Pear Bread
Pear Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg and 2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream together shortening and sugars; add egg and beat well. Sift together flour, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon and salt.
Add to shortening mixture.
Stir in pears and nuts.
Pour into a 9-inch greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Let stand until cool. Remove and dust with powdered sugar.
