Combine sugar, butter and milk; bring to a rolling boil (soft-ball 235°).

Boil 5 minutes over medium heat.

Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until melted.

Beat until well blended.

Pour into a greased 13 x 9 pan.

Cool; cut in squares.
