Peanut Butter Cookies

Cream shortening and peanut butter together.
Add sugar and vanilla and continue creaming until fluffy.
Add egg and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and blend into other mixture. Shape into small balls.
Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar.
Bake at 375Β° for 12 minutes. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
