Combine shortening, salt and peanut butter. Add sugars.
Cream together. Add eggs and milk. Mix flour and soda.
Blend with first mixture. Place balls of dough on ungreased cookie sheets. Dip fork in water and make criss-cross patterns on top. Bake at 325Β° for 15 to 18 minutes.
