Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 16 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. white corn syrup, c. water, . salt and c. raw shelled peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Put all ingredients, except soda, in heavy boiler.
Mix well. Cook until peanuts begin to pop and syrup begins to turn darker. Set off heat and add soda.
Stir quickly because the mixture foams.
Have 3 tins well-greased.
Pour mixture in each.
Let set aside and harden.
Do not put in refrigerator.
When well hardened, break into pieces.
