Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. white karo syrup, 2 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. hot water and 2 c. shelled raw peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Boil together syrup, water and sugar until mixture spins a light thread or to the crackling stage on candy thermometer.
Add peanuts and cook until peanuts begin to pop.
Remove from heat and add salt and soda.
Stir until a golden brown and pour onto a well buttered cookie sheet.
If a darker brown is desired, return to heat a few seconds before pouring on cookie sheet.
