Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. water, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. unsalted peanuts and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

In a medium heavy saucepan, combine sugar, water and syrup. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking, stirring constantly, to hard crack stage or until mixture reaches 285Β° on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat.
Add peanuts and baking soda; beat for 3 minutes.
Immediately pour mixture into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Let cool completely in pan.
Break into pieces in pan.
Makes 1 1/4 pounds.
