Combine sugar, water and Karo.

Bring to a rolling boil.

Stir in peanuts gradually so you don't lose the boil.

Remove from heat.

Add salt and soda, stirring well. Place on well-greased cookie sheet, allowing room for brittle to spread.

When completely cool, break into pieces.
