Boil the first 3 ingredients to soft ball stage (230Β°), then add butter and peanuts.

Cook to hard crack stage, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat; add vanilla and soda.

Pour on greased surface.

As it cools, pull from edges to desired thickness and cut off.
