Peach-Plum Cobbler
Peach-Plum Cobbler is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 c. boiling water, 3 c. peaches and plums with juice and 1/2 stick cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan; gradually stir in boiling water.
Boil for 1 minute, then add fruit, stirring constantly.
To mixture, add cinnamon, nutmeg, 1 tablespoon of sugar and almond.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, sugar-nutmeg mix, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening until pea size particles are formed.
Beat milk and egg and add to dough mixture; stir and blend well.
Pour into greased baking dish. Now, add fruit mixture to baking dish.
Drop spoonfuls of dough atop fruit.
Place in 400Β° oven and bake for 30 minutes.
