Parmesan Onions
Parmesan Onions is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 (1 lb.) vidalia or other sweet onions, cut in half crosswise, 2 tbsp. oleo, 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cut 12 (12-inch) squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
Place an onion half, cut side up, in center of each. Dot each onion with butter; sprinkle with cheese, salt and pepper.
Wrap well; place on baking sheet. Bake at 350Β° for 40 minutes or until tender. Serve on lettuce leaves, if desired.
