Overnight Layered Salad
Overnight Layered Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 24 minutes. Made with medium head lettuce, shredded, c. sliced green onions, c. thinly sliced celery, water chestnuts, drained and sliced and (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, break apart, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Place lettuce in a large 4-quart bowl.
Top with green onions, celery and water chestnuts.
Sprinkle peas over salad.
Spread mayonnaise evenly over top.
Sprinkle sugar, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt and garlic powder over top of salad.
Cover and chill in refrigerator overnight or 24 hours.
Before serving, garnish with hard-boiled eggs, crisp bacon or tomato wedges.
(Salad Supreme seasoning is nice, sprinkled over top, too.)
