Oven Stew
Oven Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 medium sliced potatoes, 2 to 3 sliced carrots, 1 to 2 lb. cooked hamburger, 2 cans tomato soup and 1/2 can water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Spread hamburger in bottom of casserole dish.
Place sliced potatoes and carrots on top.
Then mix in cans of tomato soup and 1/2 can water (or milk if preferred).
Use basil when browning hamburger and can add onion to taste.
Add salt and pepper before placing in oven.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on oven.
Add cheese last 15 minutes.
Dish is done when potatoes are tender.
Will take less time if potatoes are preboiled.
