Oven Simmered Beef Stew
Oven Simmered Beef Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. boneless stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes, 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix, 1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. mushroom gravy mix, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 1 c. dry red wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Place beef cubes in 3-quart casserole with tight lid.
In a small bowl combine onion soup, mushroom gravy, pepper, wine and water.
Pour over meat.
Cover and bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and add carrots, potatoes and mushrooms.
Return to oven for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
Add chopped parsley, if desired.
