Original "Shrimp Jennifer" is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 jumbo shrimp (raw), 6 strips bacon (raw), 2 c. ketchup, 1/2 c. vinegar (red) and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Dice onion and finely chop garlic.
Heat in small amount of oil until transparent. Add ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, liquid smoke, water, salt and pepper to taste and simmer 10 minutes. Peel and devein shrimp.
Wrap with 1 strip of bacon and place in small casserole dish.
Cover with barbecue sauce. Bake at 450Β° for 10 to 13 minutes.
